If you’ve been living life on the poop deck, London Gay Symphonic Winds’ next concert is guaranteed to raise your spirits aloft. Celebrating maritime music from the lyrical to the cheeky, LGSW will be sailing with The Flying Dutchman, The Pirates of the Caribbean and The Little Mermaid, as they go cruising Beyond the Sea. Whether you’d prefer to board the HMS Pinafore or the Padstow Lifeboat, LGSW will be spanning the ocean with both British and American Sea Songs.
The evening will be hosted by the hilarious Cally Beaton, who will be steering the ship as the band navigate all kinds of weather, from the stormy squalls of Wagner to the smooth seas of Enya.
LGSW’s “Hello Sailor” concert is at 7:30 on 22nd April at St Sepulchre Without Newgate, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2DQ. Tickets are £7.50 if booked in advance, or £10 on the door.
